What Is an MT5 White Label?

An MT5 white label is an arrangement where a broker operates under its own brand on MetaTrader 5 infrastructure provided by another party, rather than licensing and running its own MT5 server. The white-label broker gets branded client-facing platforms and its own client base; the infrastructure is operated by the provider.

MetaTrader 5 is licensed by MetaQuotes. Operating your own MT5 server environment involves a licence, infrastructure and the operational capability to run it. For many businesses that is the right answer. For many others — particularly those launching — it is more cost and more responsibility than the stage of business justifies.

A white-label arrangement is the alternative: you operate under your own brand on infrastructure someone else runs.

The honest summary is that white label trades control for speed and cost. Whether that is the right trade depends on your scale and on whether you have the operational capability to run infrastructure.

What white label does not give you

This confusion is common and it is consequential, because the two things are sometimes marketed together in language that blurs them. Keep them separate in your own planning.

Where the technology stack fits

Whether you run your own server or operate under a white-label arrangement, you still need everything around the trading platform: the client portal where people register and fund, the CRM where your team works, the WebTrader, the mobile app, the commission engine.

That layer is independent of the server decision, and it is what your clients and staff actually spend their time in. It is also, in practice, what differentiates two brokerages running identical platform infrastructure.

Questions on this topic

No. A white-label arrangement is commercial and technical. Regulatory authorisation is a separate matter that depends on your jurisdiction and business model, and requires your own legal advice.
