The India market
India is unusual among the markets we serve because the domestic and offshore pictures are so different. Domestically, exchange-traded products dominate: NSE and BSE for equities and currency derivatives, MCX for commodities, all under SEBI's regulatory framework. Retail participation has grown enormously, and it is overwhelmingly mobile.
StockVala technology covers Forex, MCX and NSE, which matters here specifically — an Indian trading business is far more likely to need MCX and NSE coverage than a business in the Gulf or Africa, and platforms built only for offshore forex do not serve it.
The second defining characteristic is mobile. Indian retail traders are not desktop users who occasionally check a phone; the phone is the primary and often only interface. A branded Android app is not a nice-to-have in this market, it is the product.
Third, cost sensitivity and volume go together. Indian operations typically run larger client counts at smaller average ticket sizes than Gulf equivalents, which puts pressure on onboarding throughput and support tooling rather than on bespoke high-touch features.
The regulatory position on offshore retail forex in India is restrictive and has been enforced actively. This is not a nuance to gloss over: if your model involves offering offshore forex to Indian residents, that is a question for Indian counsel before it is a question for a technology vendor.

A branded Android app carries more weight in India than almost any other market we serve.
High volume, lower ticket size
Onboarding throughput and support tooling matter more than bespoke high-touch features.
Offshore forex restrictions
The regulatory position on offering offshore retail forex to Indian residents is restrictive and actively enforced. Take Indian legal advice on your specific model before you build around it.
