PAMM (Percentage Allocation Management Module) pools investor capital into a single managed fund. Each investor holds a percentage share of the pool, and profits and losses are allocated according to that share. The manager trades the pool as one account.

What PAMM does
PAMM is the simplest model to explain to an investor: you own a percentage of a pool, and the pool's results are yours in that proportion.
The complexity sits in the arithmetic. Shares must be recalculated whenever money enters or leaves the pool, so that a new deposit does not dilute or inherit results it was not present for. Performance fees have to be applied against the right high-water mark.
