The client portal is the part of your technology stack clients judge you on. They may spend an hour a day in a trading terminal, but every interaction that is not trading — registering, verifying, funding, withdrawing, checking where they stand — happens here.

What the portal has to do well

• Registration that does not lose people halfway through.
• Document upload that works on a phone camera, because that is what people use.
• Clear verification status, so clients are not left wondering.
• Account opening that produces a working trading account immediately.
• Deposits with a status the client can see.
• Withdrawals with an honest available-balance figure.
• An account overview that answers "where do I stand" without interpretation.

The detail most portals get wrong

Available balance on the withdrawal screen. If the portal reads a cached figure rather than the live account, a funded client can be shown zero available — and a client who believes they cannot withdraw their money is a client filing a complaint, regardless of what the real balance is.

It sounds like an edge case. It is the single most damaging portal defect there is, because it attacks trust directly.

Branding

The portal should be entirely yours — your domain, your logo, your colours, your name in system emails. A client who sees a vendor's branding anywhere in the funnel now knows you are a white label, and that changes how they think about you.
